Event description: 

In conjunction with the exhibition Fazal Sheikh: Exposures, the Yale University Art Gallery welcomes artist Fazal Sheikh (American, born 1965) for a lecture. Sheikh details his process, including historical, personal, and scientific aspects of the two projects on view in the exhibition, Erasure and Exposure. Sheikh’s photographic work explores the immediate and long-term effects of environmental racism and climate change on the land and its peoples using portraiture, landscape photography, historical documentation, and personal interviews.
